A Wedding Mosaic Board to Create – Part 2

This is the 2nd part of my post on the creation of my mosaic wedding board.

When I last left you I had all my tiles on the board but the one with the name and date.  I was waiting for stamps to come in the mail.  They kind of worked, but it was difficult to highlight them so they could be read.  I ended up using alphabet stickers.  And they work great!  There are so many fonts and sizes to choose from.  Really wish I had thought of this before I invested in so many different kinds of stamps.  But now I have a solution.  I should have put the name on a lighter clay.  I’m learning new things with every project!

After this tile was done, I went through some charms I had and placed them all over the board.  I had a wedding bouquet, a car with “Just Married” on the back, an engagement ring, etc.

Next, I placed gold liquid clay as grouting material between the tiles.  It looked so light when it was wet I thought it was going to clash with the Scripture tile.  But when it dried, it was a rich gold with shine!  Very nice.

I’m really pleased with how the board turned out.  I’ve already delivered it to the couple and they love it!

Below are a few more photos of the board.

Let me know if you’d like one of these for your home, or to give as a gift.  Details can be found in my Shop HERE.
